Richard Michael Riegle
Oct. 23, 1960 – Aug. 7, 2024
Richard “Mike” Riegle was born on Oct. 23, 1960, to Richard and Patricia (Burns) Riegle in Midland, Mich. The family relocated to Rose City when Mike was four years old where he was raised on the family hobby farm.
Mike was incredibly creative, often disassembling tools and machinery to create a new tool or invention to simplify his life. He was a blue-collar tradesman his whole life through, starting and owning his own construction company until retirement in 2022. He was known for always sharing information and wisdom as well as a good story. He loved the building trades and mentoring new tradesmen coming up in the industry.
Mike would always give everything of himself and somehow found more to give. He loved his family more than anything else in life and it always showed when he would make the time for them, no matter how busy his schedule. It brings the family great peace knowing Mike is Saved and will be awaiting them in Heaven.
Mike is survived by his parents, Richard and Patricia Riegle; his wife, Beth Ann (McKenna) Riegle; his children. Nick, Milo (Faith) of West Branch and Rily (Ricky) of Gaylord; his adopted children, Dmitry (Jessica) Riegle of Arvada Colo., Natasha Riegle of Washington D.C. and Ksenia Riegle of Gainesville, Fla.; grandchildren Evelyn (Nick), Luka, Lincoln and Olive (Milo) and Lennon, Odin and Lillith (Rily) and Lily (Dmitry). He is also survived by all four of his loving sisters, Cyndy Riegle, Kitty (Jay) Riegle Felts, Teresa Riegle-Thayer and Cheri Riegle (Ken) Helsel, and his brother-in-law, Brad (Donna) McKenna, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Marylou McCarthy; brother-in-law Roland (Teresa) Thayer, and his great-niece, Brylee Pennington (Brandan and Brittany).
In lieu of flowers or donations, Mike would love to have his memories shared amongst those he knew and loved.
A celebration of life will be held on Sept. 8, 2024, at the West Branch Knights of Columbus Hall from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Food will be provided by the Knights of Columbus.
